May 31 -       2nd Annual Washington Island Bird Festival

June 13         Opening Reception  7:30 PM

June 14         First day of the 2008 season

 

June 15-        Opening Show: ‘Wearable Art’  featuring wearable art by some of

July 28          our talented fiber artists.

 

June 28         Grassland Bird Tour —  10:00 AM

                      Led by David Sample, DNR Research Biologist

                      Meet at the Art & Nature Center

 

July 12          Annual Art in the Park Festival,  11:00 AM to 3:00 PM

 

July 29          Opening reception for August Show, 7:30 PM

 

July 29-        August Show.    ‘Wild Windows and Island Animals’   featuring the

Aug 28         canvas paintings and reverse glass paintings by Lon Williams.

 

Aug 4-          16th Annual Washington Island Music Festival at the

Aug 15         Trueblood Performing Arts Center

 

Aug 28-        Exhibition of the works of the members of the

Sept 14         Washington Island Artists Association

 

Sept 15         Last day on the 2008 season

 

 

Art classes and nature classes, for children as well as adults, are held weekly during the season.  Please watch The Observer  as well as local bulletin boards for information about these classes.
