Since 1965, the Washington Island Art and Nature Center has flourished as a not-for-profit organization promoting the creative arts and directing nature study programs with special emphasis on youth education.
In addition to the on-going display of Island artists’ work, the ANC features three special exhibits throughout the season. Check out our schedule of shows, receptions and fundraisers.
Washington Islands Birding Fest
May 16 - May 19th, 2019 - Washington, Plum & Rock Islands enjoy wonderful bird migration in the spring. Our new festival takes full advantage of this and will provide participating birders with small group biding and a chance to view bird netting and banding. Join us for some exceptional birding!

The Art and Nature Center on Washington Island is a non-profit organization which relies on funding from memberships, donations and visitors. In addition to offering classes, art shows and educational opportunities, the ANC sells artwork in the gallery and has a bookstore.
